Life's Journey

I am so happy to now have the time to devote to creating. I am exploring all new venues of art and have stumbled on to altered art, assemblage. It is a perfect fit for me. I am one of those who love to collect things that I can see a vision for. I feel a thrill in visiting my local thrift store and finding that "diamond" in the rough. Perhaps it is a vintage porcelain cherub with a broken wing, or a cast off milk glass bowl. I have for years stock piled, vintage fabrics, embroidered hankies and bits of lace and ribbon, thinking someday I will use it for something. Then there are the little bits of things that have lost a mate (like an earing) or porcelain butterfly that has fallen off its barrett, but for some reason I stick it in a drawer, thinking someday I know I can use that on something. Well, that someday has come. I am rounding up all my little bits and bobbles and am creating one of a kind pieces. I started using my vintage prints and embellishing them with German glass glitter and ribbon and now I am moving to creating more three dimensional pieces. You can find my newest creations right here on my blog so please bookmark it and check back often. I will be adding more soon as well as listing more vintage treasures. Please stay tuned.
